Multiple Entry

I am planning on entering Laos from Vietnam, buying a Visa on Arrival. I will then be leaving Laos to fly to Cambodia, but I am wondering if it is possible to re-enter Laos from Cambodia- will I have to buy another visa? Or can I re-enter Laos within the 30 day visa period? Or will I not be able to re-enter Laos?

 You can re-enter Laos, but need to buy a new visa

Hi Corinne,

Yes, it is possible to re-enter Laos from Cambodia, but you will have to buy another visa.
The visa you buy on arrival is usually a single entry visa so.. once you leave to other country the visa is finished. If you want to enter Laos again you have to get a new visa. Even if you leave in the morning and return in the afternoon you still have to buy a new visa.

multiple entry

Hi I am from the UK and got a visa on arrival in Laos which I think is for 30 days and I have only been here for around 10. I am now travelling into Vietnam and then will be coming back into Laos. Does my visa cover this or will I have to purchase another visa when I come back into Laos? Thanks

 No multi-entry visa for tourists

Hi Christine,
Tourist visa in not available for multi-entry. It's for one entry only, so... you'll have to get a visa every time you enter Laos.

Hello!

I am planning on starting in Vietnam then go to Laos, then back to Vietnam and possibly back to Laos again. Can I get a multi-entry visa? or can tourists not get a multi-entry?

 On arrival visa is for one entry only

Hi there,
Yes, the visa you got on arrival is for 30 days.
All the visas are single entry only regardless of where you get it unless it's specified "multiple entry". So that says when you leave Laos to another country your Lao visa ends no matter how long/short you've spent time in Laos.

So... for your case when you exit Laos to Vietnam then come back to Laos again, you'll have to get a new visa.
