I don't think you can, but I don't know for sure and would not recommend because it might cause more hassle than you might anticipate which not worthwhile. If you want to sneak it in, that’s another story (too risky though). In a matter of facts, Lao residents cross the border to Thailand for their shopping every day to buy all kind of household stuff and take them back to Laos in their cars/trucks. The officers at the border sometime check thoroughly and sometimes don’t. I often see people get caught sneaking in some unusual items, and they have to spend a fair bit of time to clear it, so…. It’s not possible to say whether or not you can bring in a particular kind of stuff because the officers are very selective, if you’re lucky you can get away with it otherwise you can get into a big trouble so… if I said you can and you got into difficult situation it would not be good, would it?
